About SellBooksABQ
A local book dealer, a warehouse full of books, and a simple mission: pay people fairly and keep books in circulation.
A local book dealer, a warehouse full of books, and a simple mission: pay people fairly and keep books in circulation.
SellBooksABQ is run by Josh Eldred out of a warehouse in Albuquerque's North Valley — at the intersection of Edith and Montano. I've been buying and selling books full-time for years, handling thousands of titles through Amazon, eBay, and other channels.
I started SellBooksABQ because I noticed a gap in Albuquerque: there was nowhere to sell books for cash. Used bookstores offer store credit. National services want you to ship and wait. Nobody was offering to show up at your door, evaluate your books on the spot, and pay you cash.
So that's what I do.
I've been buying and selling books for years — thousands of titles through Amazon, eBay, and other channels. That experience means I can look at a collection and give you a fair offer based on what I know I can sell. No arbitrary price sheets, no lowball games.
For large collections and estates, I come to you — for free. For smaller lots, my warehouse is always open. Either way, you walk away with cash.
I also run the New Mexico Literacy Project, a book donation center at the same warehouse. Every book I don't buy goes straight into that program — resold to new readers, distributed to schools and community organizations, or given away free.
Nothing goes to the landfill. That's not a marketing slogan — it's how the two businesses work together. You sell your valuable books. The rest find new homes through NMLP.
I'm not a corporate buyback service. I'm not a franchise. I'm a local book dealer who lives in Albuquerque, works out of a warehouse in the North Valley, and answers my own phone. When you call 702-496-4214, you're talking to me.
